Sydney to Hobart 2017 Join Us!

Come and join us for exhilaration on a classic beauty of the sea!  Yes this Swan 65 is of the same build that won the first Whitbread around the world yacht race.  Of the first 7 around the world yacht races, a Swan 65 won it 5 times !!!!!

The Swan 65 was the BIGGEST FIBREGLASS YACHT IN THE WORLD, when it was first built.  There were only 40 of these built in the world.

There is ONLY ONE doing this years Sydney to Hobart race, and we are fired up after having just complete the Airlie Beach and Hamilton Island Race weeks, scoring a first place on handicap on day 3 week 1, and day 6 week 2.   Exhausting work and a heck of a lot of fun!

Simply email sail@asail.com to join us.

Here is an update for those that have signed up for the Sydney – Hobart race, and for those that have expressed a strong interest.

We will be spending 3 more weeks up in Whitsundays doing a bit of cruising and then will do the return passage to Sydney in two legs:

 – Airlie -> Brisbane departing 1st October (weather permitting).  Should take 3 to 4 days

 – then she’ll be on the hard stand in Brisbane for a week (anti-foul and a few odd jobs)

 – Brisbane -> Sydney departing Sat 14 Oct (weather permitting).  Should take about 3 days.

Anyone who has signed up for the Sydney to Hobart race and paid the deposit is welcome to join us for one of the passages.  Not only a nice trip but an opportunity to get to know the boat.
Once we get back to Sydney  we will do a week of training followed by Cabbage Tree Island race on 10 Nov.  This race is necessary for anyone who wants to come to Hobart.
